VISIT

Creswick

Ballarat

Ballarat is Victoria’s third largest city just a 10 minute drive from Creswick.
Immerse yourself in its rich gold rush history, stroll the beautiful tree lined streets and admire the heritage and opulence of the many buildings, laneways and ornate fountains.
A visit to Ballarat is incomplete without a walk around Lake Wendouree. Sit and relax and enjoy the beautiful food at one of the many cafes and restaurants dotted around the lake, admire the stunning birdlife that have made the lake their home. Walk across the street and enjoy the peaceful beauty of the Botanical Gardens with its magnificent working floral clock or stroll down the path and view the busts of our former prime ministers.
Of course a trip to Ballarat is not complete until you visit the recreated 1850’s gold rush township of Sovereign Hill which will delight young and old alike as you watch the street theatre performances, take a mine tour or do a spot of shopping.

Daylesford

Daylesford is the perfect destination for a day trip. Walk the tree lined streets, stop in at one or more of the many delightful cafes or restaurants, visit the Sunday markets, submerge yourself at any of the mineral springs, enjoy the sublime serenity of Lake Daylesford or stroll the Wombat Hill Botanical Park. While away a couple of hours exploring the Convent Gallery, the choice is yours.

Clunes

Clunes is a picturesque small town just a 10 minute drive from Creswick. Its main street is alive with many cafes, curio shops and book stores. The buildings are some of the finest preserved 19th century architecture in this country. Clunes showcases itself beautifully with the annual Booktown which is held in May and attracts people from far and wide. The monthly Sunday market with live music and fresh produce is a must see when visiting this area.
